Every year, over 500 light stations worldwide join with their local radio clubs to put on this event, putting lighthouses and lightships "on the air." Our return guest, Laurel Amateur Radio Club, will be back on board on August 15 and 16 to see which stations they can reach with Lightship Chesapeake's antenna. We are happy to introduce the JHU Applied Physics Lab Amateur Radio Club this year as well, who will be setting up their equipment at Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse.
